Personal note from Jon: Heroic Productions was birthed by the Twin Cities based rhythm and blues band, Temporary Heroes Orchestra. As Music Director of Temporary Heroes, I launched the band 14+ years ago. I recall dreaming with my wife, Anita that the band would be known for terrific entertainers performing music well, a dependable crew who would show up on time and sober, and we would use quality gear that worked every time. As the dream became reality,(we’ve performed at more than 400 events!), we started investing in really good equipment, and really good technicians to use that really good equipment, which resulted in an inventory of audio and lighting equipment other people wanted to rent! On December 22, 2003, we added to the inventory when I purchased the assets of a regional stage lighting company here in Minneapolis and merged that organization into ours. On January 1st, 2004, we spun off a new company called Heroic Productions. It has two functions: providing all the production needs of the Temporary Heroes Orchestra, and providing sound and lighting production for meetings and events. Our mission became simple: to Amplify and Illuminate the Earth, one event at a time. Jon Young (Stora Osten “the Big Cheese” in Swedish) |
