Our crew and 2 semis full of gear were in Nashville, providing audio, video and lighting support for a large corporate event this April. Working in tandem with Freestyle Productions, the large Delta Ballroom in the Gaylord Opryland Hotel was transformed with color, aided by a massive, curved, 65'-wide x 16'-high LED wall/backdrop on the stage. Besides the keynote speakers, performers included Leeann Rimes, Jewel, and Sheryl Crow. Congrats to all the crew for a great-looking and sounding show!
For the past 6 years, Heroic Productions has relied on Meyer Sound Laboratories' Mina Line Array speakers to provide crystal-clear sound in medium to large venues. They've served us very well, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to move to the latest-and-greatest from Meyer: the Leopard Compact Linear Line Array Loudspeaker. Our sound (your sound!) will be second-to-none with these new speakers. Read about the specs here, and watch our Mina and Leopard story in the video window.
For the third consecutive year, Heroic produced the live web-broadcast of Gustavus Adolphus College's Christmas in Christ Chapel. The hard work and talents of over 350 students as well as faculty and staff, creates a high-performance standard. Heroic met that standard with intense planning and logistics, dozens upon dozens of lights, thousands of feet of cable, multiple channels of audio and a large staff of talented AV professionals. Watch the entire program or click HERE for some behind-the-scenes video.
The day began at 6am, and Heroic Productions was in Minneapolis at Aria, prepping for a party put on would-be sponsors by the 2018 Super Bowl Host Committee. Lights and projection changed the entire feel and look of the exposed brick in the large, 3-story main room. Special entertainment was provided by Enticing Entertainment, and Belladiva gave our new MeyerSound Leopard speakers a workout. BeEvents coordinated the details. It was a pleasure working with all of you!
For the second year in a row, Christmas In Christ Chapel was streamed live on the web, with Heroic as technical producer. Now in its 43rd year at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, this annual Christmas event has taken on new life and meaning with special lighting and a live 12-camera web-stream of one of the services, allowing thousands of alumni and friends that can't get to the campus, access to this special event. We recently created a full production set-up in our Black Box warehouse, and invited a team of event planners for an informal session of "show-and-tell," discussion, and Q & A. Our audio, lighting, and video experts shared best practices and demonstrated a number of different concepts related to their respective areas. It was a great learning experience for all!
