We now have 3 brand-new video flypacks which utilize the latest switchers from the Ross Carbonite series. Each of our video flypacks can be thought of as a self-contained studio-on-wheels and allows us to work with and present video, picture-in-picture, graphics, and audio in virtually any setting, large or small. The ability to handle multiple resolutions, from SD, HD and 4K gives us tremendous flexibility, and stage managers/graphics operators will appreciate the dedicated multiviewer outputs.
Augsburg College (St. Paul, Minnesota) hosted their annual Scholarship Weekend with a kickoff event featuring a keynote conversation with Steve Wozniak. Heroic was there to transform their large gymnasium into a visually interesting and easy-to-see-and-hear venue for a full house of attendees. We used a wall of gray drape (gray takes lighting much better than black), plenty of lights, large iMag screens and a couple of well-placed MeyerSound line-array speaker systems. Take a look at the video.
The day began at 6am, and Heroic Productions was in Minneapolis at Aria, prepping for a 2018 Super Bowl Host Committee party for would-be sponsors and related companies. Lights and projection changed the entire feel and look of the exposed brick in the large, 3-story main room. Special entertainment was provided by Enticing Entertainment, and Belladiva gave our new MeyerSound Leopard speakers a workout. BeEvents coordinated the details. It was a pleasure working with all of you!
For the third consecutive year, Heroic produced the live web-broadcast of Gustavus Adolphus College's Christmas in Christ Chapel. The hard work and talents of over 350 students as well as faculty and staff, creates a high-performance standard. Heroic met that standard with intense planning and logistics, dozens upon dozens of lights, thousands of feet of cable, multiple channels of audio and a large staff of talented AV professionals. Watch the entire program or click HERE for some behind-the-scenes video.
For the past 6 years, Heroic Productions has relied on Meyer Sound Laboratories' Mina Line Array speakers to provide crystal-clear sound in medium to large venues. They've served us very well, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to move to the latest-and-greatest from Meyer: the Leopard Compact Linear Line Array Loudspeaker. Our sound (your sound!) will be second-to-none with these new speakers. Read about the specs here, and watch our Mina and Leopard story in the video window.
Our crew and 2 semis full of gear were in Nashville, providing audio, video and lighting support for a large corporate event this April. Working in tandem with Freestyle Productions, the large Delta Ballroom in the Gaylord Opryland Hotel was transformed with color, aided by a massive, curved, 65'-wide x 16'-high LED wall/backdrop on the stage. Besides the keynote speakers, performers included Leeann Rimes, Jewel, and Sheryl Crow. Congrats to all the crew for a great-looking and sounding show!
