Heroic Lands Three Industry Awards Amid Pandemic
Predicts Pandemic-Era Changes to Live Events Here to Stay
Great things are happening here at Heroic Productions. We won three 2021 Minnesota Star Awards from the Minneapolis-St. Paul chapter of the International Live Events Association:
- Best Technical Production for 2020 Christmas in Christ Chapel at Gustavus Adolphus College
- Best Virtual/Hybrid Event for The ONE Forum 2020 in partnership with Jodi Collen, CSEP, NMDP, Be The Match, BeEvents and the Brave New Workshop
- ILEA Team Effort for The ONE Forum 2020 in partnership with Jodi Collen, CSEP, NMDP, Be The Match, BeEvents and the Brave New Workshop
“We’ve won Best Technical Production in the past, “said Dustin Fabian – Production Account Manager at Heroic Productions. “But to win during a pandemic, where every single aspect of live events had to change, that brings new meaning to this industry recognition.”
“Our challenge was taking established, in-person events and transforming them into new virtual experiences,” added Fabian. “Given the success of virtual and hybrid events, we predict clients will continue to want them going forward — especially immersive experiences people can join virtually or attend live depending on what works for them.”

About the Minnesota Star Awards
The International Live Events Association (ILEA) – Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter launched the Minnesota Star Awards in 2005 to recognize outstanding professionals in the special event industry for all of the events they create, plan, manage and execute each year. The awards are open to anyone who has produced events within the region and are judged by ILEA professionals from other chapters throughout the world.
Winners for 2020 productions were announced on June 17, 2021, during the 17th annual awards show. We also donated our time to produce the awards show and after-party gratis.
