American Cancer Society Champions of Hope Gala
For over 100 years, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has been on a mission: better outcomes for every cancer, every life. This year, we had the privilege of teaming up with this extraordinary organization for the 2024 Champions of Hope Gala in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The evening was nothing short of magical. The soiree was held at the stunning Renaissance Hotel Minneapolis, The Depot. Guests enjoyed a night to remember, featuring a cocktail reception, live and silent auctions, a deliciously curated menu with hosted food and drinks, heartfelt survivor testimonials, and an after-party packed with live entertainment.
Heroic’s Role
Our mission? Simple: ensure every message of hope and resilience was seen, heard, and felt.
We transformed the ballroom into a stunning ACS-themed wonderland. To keep the audience focused on the inspiring presentations (and not the bustling city outside), we veiled the venue’s floor-to-ceiling windows with cream-colored pipe and drape. The stage came alive with a palette of deep blues and purples, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that spotlighted every speaker.
To add depth and dimension, we designed a textured stage backdrop featuring a 3D-style screen overlay. On either side of the stage, large video projection screens ensured every attendee had the best view in the house. To make it happen, we deployed two cameras and skilled operators to capture every inspiring moment.
But we didn’t stop there. To paint the entire room in the ACS theme of deep blues and purples, we installed 120 feet of truss to hang and position the perfect lighting.
And of course, sound was a top priority. To ensure every word from our speakers resonated crystal-clear, we used Meyer Leopard Line Array speakers and the DiGiCo Quantum 225 mixer—a powerhouse combo that delivered premium audio performance and gave our audio engineers seamless control throughout the evening.
An Incredible Success
The 2024 Champions of Hope Gala raised an amazing $900,000 to help fight cancer—a huge win for the MN chapter of the American Cancer Society and for everyone touched by this disease.
We were truly honored to help make this night unforgettable, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year. Together, let’s keep fighting cancer—and winning.
